SPMMA members are advised that, following notification from SAPS, Durban Metro Police and the Road Traffic Inspectorate, sporadic road closures of approximately one hour at a time are expected on the M4 between Zimbali and the Durban ICC on Sunday, 16 August and Monday, 17 August 2026.
The closures are being implemented to facilitate the movement of presidential dignitaries attending the 46th SADC Ordinary Summit at the Durban ICC.
Motorists are advised to avoid the M4 where possible during this period and to allow additional time for travel should they need to use the route
