April saw continued progress in our efforts to enhance both precinct safety and public infrastructure<\/strong>, with particular focus on streetlighting functionality and security presence<\/strong>. Well-lit environments are a critical component of effective urban safety, and combined with visible patrols, these efforts support our aim of keeping the Sibaya Precinct safe, accessible, and secure for all<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lighting and Infrastructure Progress<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We are pleased to report significant improvement in streetlighting functionality across the precinct<\/strong> this month. Following continuous engagement with municipal representatives<\/strong>, we can confirm that:<\/p>\n

    Lighting along the M4 and M27<\/strong> is now 95% operational<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Heleza Boulevard<\/strong> lighting is currently at 80%<\/strong>, with repairs actively ongoing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Streetlighting remains a high priority for the precinct, not only from a safety and visibility perspective<\/strong>, but also as part of our broader commitment to infrastructure resilience<\/strong>. We extend our sincere thanks to members for their patience and cooperation<\/strong> as we continue to work towards full restoration<\/strong> in the weeks ahead.<\/p>\n

    Department of Transport Collaboration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    We would also like to acknowledge and thank the Department of Transport (DoT)<\/strong> for their continued support in addressing a range of infrastructure challenges along the M4 corridor<\/strong> throughout April. These have included:<\/p>\n

      Replacement of damaged or missing road signage<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Temporary and permanent road repairs<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Attention to storm-related damage<\/strong> and erosion risks<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Their swift and responsive action has helped to maintain road safety and minimise disruption to precinct users.<\/p>\n

      Stable Security Operations and Patrol Presence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      On the security front, April remained stable<\/strong>, with no major incidents reported<\/strong>. Our Sibaya Security teams<\/strong> maintained high levels of visibility and routine patrols across the precinct, continuing their focus on prevention and early response<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      We thank our security personnel for their professionalism, consistency, and responsiveness in ensuring a safe environment for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. Their ongoing efforts are a key part of what makes the Sibaya Precinct a secure and well-managed space.<\/p>\n

      As we move forward into the new quarter, both lighting restoration<\/strong> and security visibility<\/strong> will remain core priorities.
