265 Bags Cleared and over 40ha Managed in Sibaya

Cleaning, Greening and Maintenance

The Sibaya Precinct continues to benefit from consistent cleaning, greening, and maintenance efforts, with strong progress recorded across environmental management and infrastructure upkeep this month.

265 Refuse Bags Collected: Clean Spaces Remain a Priority

Cleaning teams remained active across all areas, collecting 265 refuse bags from public spaces, access points and conservation areas. A total of 63mm of rainfall was recorded across the precinct, with all stormwater and attenuation systems performing effectively.

40.7 Hectares Managed – Conservation in Action

Conservation efforts saw a significant increase in scale, with 40.7 hectares of land swept across priority areas. Key highlights include:

  • 19 invasive species targeted
  • Follow-up treatments and maintenance-phase interventions
  • Expanded team capacity supporting wider coverage

These efforts are critical in strengthening ecosystem resilience across forest, grassland, and servitude areas.

With attenuation structures now fully completed, additional resources have been allocated to their ongoing maintenance to ensure structural integrity, support environmental performance and maintain efficient stormwater management. The Association is also reviewing broader maintenance needs, including damaged paving repairs, streetlight maintenance and upgrades.

Engagement with the Municipality and the primary developer is ongoing to ensure aligned specifications and sustainable solutions for future improvements.
