SPMMA would like to notify residents of Balize Private Estate and the greater Umdloti area of a planned 12-hour water shutdown by eThekwini Municipality. The shutdown is scheduled from 6pm on 28 July to 6am on 29 July. This interruption is necessary to facilitate a water tie-in to the existing trunk main.
Please note: While the shutdown is confirmed for Balize Private Estate and the greater Umdloti area, there is a possibility that other Sibaya precinct members, including Salta, may also be affected. This has not been confirmed; however, residents are strongly encouraged to take precautionary measures by storing sufficient water for domestic use during this period.
