Planned M27 Traffic Diversion for Culvert Installation

Community and Sustainability

Residents and road users are advised of the roadworks on a portion of the M27 between the M4 Southbound Ramps and the Salta Intersection, scheduled to last from 28 July to 20 August 2026.

The works form part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades in the area and the installationΒ of a culvert across the roadway. This process requires excavation through the current road surface.Β To accommodate this safely while maintaining traffic flow, vehicles will be diverted onto an adjacent section of roadway. This section has already been constructed and raised as part of the broader road widening project and will temporarily serve as the active route during the construction period.

Road users may experience delays, particularly during peak travel times and are encouraged to plan and allow for additional travel time where possible.

The diversion layout, traffic management measures, and operational arrangements are indicated in detail on the following M27 Traffic Control PlanΒ

These upgrades are an important part of improving long-term road infrastructure and traffic capacity in the Sibaya precinct.
