Please take note that we are aware of the recent announcement issued by the eThekwini Municipality regarding a disruption to the City’s water supply following damage to a valve at Nagle Dam, which has affected the flow of raw water to the Durban Heights Water Treatment Works.
Stakeholders are advised that the Sibaya precinct receives its water supply from Hazelmere Dam, and at this stage, the situation should not impact Sibaya.
SPMMA remains in direct contact with senior officials and will continue to monitor the situation closely. Should circumstances change or official guidance affecting the precinct be issued, members will be informed immediately.
While it is always good to use water sparingly, we encourage members not to panic.
